SCHOLARSHIP REQUIREMENTS

The Texas Clogging Council (TCC) Scholarship Fund aims to recognize individuals possessing academic merit, leadership, special talents, and potential for future success.  Scholarships are intended to reward TCC student members who demonstrate their support of the goals and objectives of the TCC and who consistently participate in clogging activities within the state of Texas.

  • On an annual basis, depending on available scholarship funds, the TCC Scholarship Fund Board of Directors shall meet to determine the number and amounts of scholarships to be awarded for that year.  Preferably, the following scholarships will be offered annually:
  • The Rick Flory Memorial Scholarship ($1000-$1500)
  • The Bobbi Boyce Memorial Scholarship ($1000-$1500)
  • The Moeller Disability Scholarship ($1000-$1500)
  • To be eligible, scholarship applicant(s) must be a current member of the TCC, having held that membership for a minimum of six months prior to application submittal.
  • Applicant(s) must be enrolled, or planning to enroll, in an accredited junior college, college, or university as a fulltime student (undergraduates- 12 semester hours, graduates- 9 semester hours).  Undergraduate and graduate students may apply, with preference given to graduating high school seniors, then undergraduate students and finally graduate students.
  • The Moeller Disability Scholarship is reserved for a TCC member who will be enrolled as a fulltime student at a junior college, college, or university in the fall and has, but not limited to, a physical, mental, cognitive, or developmental disability.
  • To be considered for a scholarship, applicant(s) must submit all required application materials within the application window and at least 30 days prior to the current year’s Texas Clogging Council Spring Rally.  Required application materials include:

  • Each scholarship will be awarded for a period of one academic year and will be paid at a rate of half the scholarship amount per semester.  Scholarship(s) will be paid directly to recipient’s junior college, college, or university.
  • For high school senior recipients, Fall term funding is contingent upon meeting all high school graduation requirements and being selected for entrance into an accredited junior college, college, or university.  Spring term funding is contingent upon maintaining fulltime undergraduate student status (12 hours) and a minimum 2.5 grade point average for completed courses.

  • Only one scholarship will be awarded per applicant.
  • The TCC Scholarship Fund Board of Directors will participate in a blind review/voting system (applicants’ names will be removed/hidden from submitted materials prior to being shared with the Directors).
